Naoju Nakamura was born on April 22nd, 1961 in the Kochi Prefecture located on the island of Shikoku, Japan. After graduating from college. he was employed at Pioneer Electronics’ subsidiary called Laser Disc Corporation in Tokyo. He was sent to Los Angeles from 1989 and lived in the United States for 8 years under Pioneer Electronics. After gaining experience in a variety of music projects, he returned to his home country of Japan and a few years later began to assist in planning and bookings at a music club, STB139 in Roppongi, Tokyo. While coordinating for STB139, he established an independent music label under the name “And Forest Music” which released over 40 CD’s and managed a number of top ranking international artist’s Japan tour under the same company. Naoju’s talent and skill accelerated STB139’s status becoming one of the main music venues in Tokyo.

Naoju’s photography career gained momentum at the same time he joined STB139. An endorsers for Olympus, he began capturing pictures of nightly live concerts. He got many opportunities of taking portraits for front cover of popular music magazines.

Naoju, being self-taught in the art of pencil drawing was pretty good during the time he was a senior in high school and in his late 30’s he taught some unique and innovative techniques of drawing in pencil to the worlds black and white art community.

In 2016 he is booking a series of concerts called “IMPRESS JAPAN by Beppe Crovella with EMOTIONAL SCENIC PHOTOGRAPHY”. Working closely with pianist and composer, Beppe, he has continued to expand his talent both in music business and art.

Naoju now sees 5155 as a significant number in his life, signifying the ages of 51 to 55 as a period of time in which he has rebuilt his life as an artist. Moving forward, 5155 will signify the past as well as the present in his art career.
